Sunday in Charlotte

We finally got to attend church at Church of the Redeemer in Stallings (between Charlotte/Matthews and Monroe). Krista has met with the staff in the office several times and we have met the pastors and really liked everyone we met. The service was very good, they are a well grounded church with solid teaching. They are basically just like our home church (Christ Community Church) except are a few years behind. They meet in a school auditorium and have started a capital campaign to purchase some property and build a church. Just walking in we were met by several people that all very warmly welcomed us and introduced themselves. We both really liked it and will probably be back next Sunday.

We are now back home and are resting. This next week will be very busy. A nice difference in climate has already been felt. Back in Florida, it is hot and humid right now. Here in Charlotte, it was in the 50's this morning and the high is expected to be around 64. We currently have a lot of severe storms blowing through the area, but we have managed to miss them all so far. Watch for more updates as we experience work and adjust to life in NC.
