Home Inspection
I have a lot of quick updates on the house for you today. This week we had our appraisal, pest inspection, and home inspection and passed all three. The Appraisal came back $3000 over the sale price so we can proceed. That is a big step forward. And then the pest inspection found the house in good shape termite-wise which is nice. This morning Krista and I met the Realtor and the home inspector for an inspection of the property. Thankfully everything looks good. The biggest concerns are that the water heater doesn't drain to the outside (though it is not actually in the house), there are a few shingles that were slightly buckled, some shrubs/trees on one side of the house extend past the roof allowing roof access to small critter, and there is some concern about water drainage behind the house (not likely a concern but something to be aware of). Basically, the house is great and ready to be sold. We also got our homeowners insurance lined-up as well. Things are rolling along. Of course I would be remiss if I didn't take pictures of the home while we were there. The slideshow above has pictures from our visit today. There is also an unidentified bush that I took a picture of at the end. If you know what it is, please share. By the way, the house has three apple trees so we will be shipping apples your way...
