Today's adventures
So today we went out and visited the same realtor that Krista met with on our first trip up here. After going over what we wanted and speaking with a mortgage broker down the street, we were off to see three homes. I only included pictures from the ones we liked.
Griffith Road:
We started at Griffith RD. This house was in really bad shape. Many difficult to remedy problems, not the least of which was rotten wood everywhere and a cracked and slanted foundation. We were disappointed because we liked this house from the street.
Hampton Meadows Road:
Moving on we went to Hampton Meadows. This house is really nice and ready to move in. The owners are being relocated and the house was in great shape. The yard is large and fenced and the whole neighborhood looked farm-like (no farm animals, just style wise) and very quiet. This house is priced right and is in the #1 school district in the area. It won't last long (probably the point behind the price).
????
We then went to another place that was similar to Hampton Meadows, but much less likable. It was in great shape, but was designed wierdly. Not bad, just not what we were looking for.
That is the end of our look-see tour this afternoon. Krista, being sick, had enough by that point and we only picked a few to set up on short notice visits. I then drove around this afternoon and evening looking at several more homes. The realtor was going to try to setup 5 visits for tomorrow afternoon. We blocked the morning so that Krista can catch up on some sleep. He also pointed me to three more homes to check out which all looked nice enough. One may get a visit, though the price is on the high side for what we are looking for. These are the houses we will hopefully visit tomorrow:
Old HWY 74 (nice quite street despite the name, even during rush-hour when I drove-by)
Forget-Me-Not Lane
Milkwood Lane
East Park Drive
Hamilton Street
Another update will come tomorrow...
