house hunting has begun!

So we made it into Charlotte with no problems today. We arrived in Monroe around 10:30 am and couldn't get into our hotel until 3 pm so we spent some time driving around looking at some of the homes on our list. The pictures in the slideshow are three of our favorites from a curb-appeal point of view. The first is Houston Street. This is a gorgeous street of beautifully remodeled older homes. This house is one of the last on the street to be redone. The blue house was about 4 doors down and lists for twice as much. The neighborhood has good value, but the house is pretty rough and is on the end of the street about two doors away from a lower value neighborhood. The yellow house is really nice and the neighborhood is nice. It doesn't have as much of a draw as the other two though. Griffith RD is a busier road coming from the county into Monroe. Traffic is a little heavier and faster, but still not bad. The lot is 1.2 acres which is nice and the house looks nice, but it is a 2/2. I just thought I would share some of the fun. Watch for more over the next few days.
