And the wheel goes round...
So the job hunt is continuing. I have now applied to 7 jobs between 4 companies. The companies are Bell Helicopter (Hurst, TX), Lockheed Martin (Ft. Worth, TX), Exxon Mobil (Irving, TX), and RSR Technology (Dallas, TX). I have received one official "no" and one job title has been filled without my resume being considered - it was likely filled before I applied. The active count is like this: 2 at Bell, 1 at Lockheed, ? at Exxon Mobil, and 1 at RSR. The job at Lockheed is a nano job that I am not real qualified for so I'm not holding my breath for that one. The question mark for the Exxon job is because they have no specific job listings on their site. You apply once and they look for any openings you match for you. It's easier on me, but I have no idea how many jobs I am being considered for, if any. RSR technology is a battery recycling and alloy production company. I'm not sure if they'll look at me seriously or not, although I did receive a reply to my application email that sounded positive (he didn't say no right away). So that's where I stand right now. Still waiting for an interview invitation.
Krista on the other hand, is considering a post-doc at the University of Texas-Arlington (UTA). When we were out there, she had an interview with a new professor that was very excited about the prospect of Krista working for him. UTA's campus was very pretty and the facilities were brand new. They are investing lots of money to make their program a national power. That's it for now. We are still on track with our work and still excited about moving to Texas.
