The First of the Last
Today marks the first day of our last semester. Since I started college, I've been a student for 18 Fall and Spring semesters. This semester is number 19 (not counting summers). In other words, I've been in college for 9 years. It's hard to imagine that this is it. That this is likely the last time I'll have to by a parking decal at UF. Our last football season as students starts in 9 days. Its my last semester of being forced into attending the yearly seminar series. There are so many things that will be ending (it's my last semester to see Mervin the alligator (named by Krista)on my way to having lunch with Krista). This, of course, depends on one thing: Krista and I finishing our research and writing our dissertations before October 15th. That is no small task. At this point, I still have 2-3 weeks of research left, a conference that I have to prepare a 20 minute presentation for and travel to, and I only have about 30 pages. In the mean time, I have to find a job and prepare our house to sell. I guess what I'm trying to say is, does anyone happen to own a time machine? I could use an extra month or two between September and October. Anyone?

Ok, 2 things: "buy" not "by" and "it's" not "its".
I feel better now. :)
