Aquarium Setup
I thought you might like to see how we setup the new aquarium. We used river-rock gravel on the left 1/3 and coarse aragonite (reef sand) on the right 2/3. Two cavey areas were setup and seperated to allow the "big dogs" room to play without running into each other. The flats in between is a common feeding area. All the food blows by in the current and it can be easily seen so most of the fish will frequent this area looking to eat. The gator on the left blows bubbles and has a cave that he graciously shares with the Brichardis. The tall green plant in the middle (and the back right corner) are my new sword plant (live). The smaller, green plant to the left (three leaves) is a java fern. The dark green clump on the rocks on the right is a swamp moss. All the rest are fake. This tank has 2 Brichardis, 2 Lab Lemons, 2 Tropheus Duboisi, 2 Borneo Suckers, and 5 guppies. Today, everyone seemed to be getting used to the new fish and tank. Hopefully they'll all be happy and healthy.
