It's Almost that Time of Year

These two images Depict the paths of all the hurricanes and tropical storms and tropical depressions that passed over or near Florida during two recent Hurricane Seasons. The first one is last year (2006). The second is 2004. They were both predicted to have roughly the same amount of storm activity. 2004 exceded predictions. 2006 was a let-down. This season The National Hurricane center is predicting 17 hurricanes (not total storms, but hurricanes). This may be yet another record breaking year for the Atlantic Hurricane Basin. Are you excited yet?
