Another attempt

"Here goes nothin'"

I plan to commit more time to the blog that has been essentially dormant for several months. Much has changed with us. As many of you probably expected, our number of animals (pets) has grown. We now have 32 mouths beside our own to feed. That number will likely increase. Among the new additions are more fish (male and female betas and guppies) and more birds (lavender finches, Krista's favorite) and a cat (Timothy). All of them are a bit odd like their parents: Timothy does this thing where he almost goes into a trance with his head shoved under some sheets or pillows and then he kneeds and drools all over the place. It's the wierdest thing. I'm sure pictures are on the way.

In the human realm, Krista and I are making great advances in our research. This means we might graduate after all! My heat treatments are almost all done and Krista is finally getting her Chimeras to work (don't ask).

Krista and I are also leading a new bible sudy in our church this fall on Prayer. We'll be looking at a number of issues including: why is it important if God does what He wants anyway. It should be a good time. Challenging, but good. We have a good group that likes to get together to do learn about the gospel and to challenge each other to board games. We play games as often as we can. We also dine together often.

Anyway, watch for updates. I've got to go listen to the first graduate seminar of the year. It's the one where they tell us how good we are as a University of Florida department. It's not all bad, though. I get free pizza afterward!

Go Gators!!!
