They were laughing and telling chemistry jokes!

It's been a couple days now, but Krista passed her Ph.D. Proposal and Oral Exam on Thursday. Afterwards, her advisor, Carrie, told her that she did very well. Carrie had never seen an advisory committee laugh like they did at Krista's proposal. Krista did so well on the first, very difficult question, that everyone was impressed. Eventually, the committee members started answering questions for her, they had apparently already seen enough. They then started discussing future directions and projects and Krista didn't have to say anything. In the end, it was a lot of work for a proposal defense that went much, much better than she had anticipated.
